On November 15, 2017 Northshore Fire Protection District Board of Directors voted to pass Ordinance No. 2017-001, repealing existing ordinances from Clearlake Oaks Fire, Lucerne Recreation and Park, Nice Community Services and Upper Lake Fire also requesting consolidation of an election to impose a special tax against real property for the purpose of providing fire protection, rescue emergency medical, ambulance and other services. This ordinance will take effect for the 2018/2019 fiscal year for parcels with a lien date of January 1, 2018, upon its approval and confirmation of two-thirds of the registered voters in the District.
